Eye on Fashion: A Teen's Perspective // Tulle Skirts

The new year, for me at least, always has its fair share of nostalgia and reminiscing. Another year has come and gone, filled with it’s fair share of heartbreak, memories, laughter, and growing up. Because we are, we’re growing up. No one can be the little girl in pink tights and a princess tiara forever. However, thankfully every once in a while fashion gives us a chance to be little kids again. This season, the trend is taking the form of tulle skirts(the grown-up version of a tutu). Because who wouldn’t want to be able to wear a ballerina skirt all day? Then the question becomes- how to wear them? If you’re opting for casual, wear your skirt with an oversized sweater and perhaps a chunky necklace or bracelet. Tulle skirts can also be dressed up VERY easily-- just ad a blazer and heels and you’re all set for a night out in the city. Tulle skirts are eye-catching and bold, so you’re sure to stand out in a crowd. Try and stick with heels and heeled boots, as they make the outfit more sophisticated and a bit more grown up.
