A California Senior Session

Here is what Renee had to say about this session with Holly:
"I shot Holly's session at a friend's property - I wanted to incorporate color and texture into her session and this location was perfect for that. I also wanted to style a portion of her session; I made the skirt out of some old fabric I had and dyed it red - the top is something I had in my closet and my makeup artist did something more dramatic with her hair and makeup for this last look as well. Holly is ridiculously photogenic and so much fun to photograph!"
Inspiration: "I shoot in rural, rustic locations quite often, but I wanted to do something a little different with this - Holly is one of my 2014 Senior Reps and the camera just loves her. All my reps get styled sessions, with a little something "extra"."

When asked about herself and her business, Renee said "I'm a natural light Senior Portrait photographer in Santa Clarita (suburb of Los Angeles). Although I also shoot family portraits and a few events, I prefer to keep my business "boutique" and focused mainly on Senior Portraits. My style is artistic, a tad non-traditional and modern; all my senior shoots include the experience of professional makeup application before and during the shoot. I love styling sessions for clients who want more than the standard yearbook shots and pride myself on creating an environment where my clients feel relaxed so they can unfold and have fun.I'm a member of the PPA and I'm currently an event leader for Senior's Ignite, a leading national organization that focuses on education and marketing for Senior Portrait photographers. I mentor photographers from all over the country, both in person and via skype, and feel passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others learn the art and business of photography."
