What to Wear Wednesday...with Jackie K

It's WTWW and this week we have Jackie K Photography joining us to wrap up our May theme, Pantone Spring 2015 colors! I have enjoyed all of the posts for WTWW this month SO much! Check out what she has to say about prints!

"Capturing the perfect images starts with connecting with your senior.  I start with finding out about their interests and what plans they have for their future, and usually the connection starts once we start talking fashion!  I absolutely love keeping up with fashion trends and staying current on what is “in” and this Spring its all about the beautiful Pantones and stunning prints. Knowing what looks best in images and translating that to your senior can take your images to the next level. One thing I love most, is when my seniors bring prints to their session. The patterns, prints and colors they choose show their style and personality while creating a mood for their images. This Spring's color pallet is all about creating a calm soothing escape from our everyday hustle and bustle… so out with the loud neon’s and in with the soft cool hues and the subtle warm tones. To keep up with Spring's hottest colors think muted with lots of natural inspirations. So let’s talk about what prints are in and how to incorporate into your spring wardrobe while staying current with this Spring's colors.Senior Style GuideSpring FloralSpring florals are classic, pretty and feminine and can look great on anything from a dress or skirt, to a romper or even a scarf.  This spring the florals are brighter as well as more graphic and can add a stylish punch to any image!Image-1Senior Style GuideTo keep these florals light and airy I placed my senior in a field of Toasted Almond and Lucite Green. This helped to offset her Strawberry Ice and Glacier Gray dress and kept the emphasis on the senior and her fun carefree spirit.Senior Style GuideAnother benefit of the spring florals is they add depth and drama.  This gorgeous Aquamarine. Toasted Almond and Marsala combination really pop when mixed with deep natural rich green tones. Micro FloralMicro Florals are boldly feminine and abstract while edgy at the same time… so have your seniors trade their large florals for a smaller blooms this spring!Senior Style GuideSenior Style Guide PaisleysThe paisley is a print that has been around for ages and worn in all styles from Boho chic 70’s vibe to a put-together classic look. Think paisleys when you want a timeless look that is always in style. This ultra ornate design can be transformed year after year just by using the season's hottest Pantones. Senior Style Guide Senior Style Guide Here the print has been reworked for this spring by mixing Tangerine, Lucite Green, and Classic Blue. As you can see by pairing this seemingly busy print with a solid top and using a soft Toasted Almond background, you can achieve a calm sophisticated look. Tribal InspiredTribal prints have been here for a few seasons and are still everywhere you look… from skirts, rompers and tanks to kimonos, palazzo pants and scarves. This print is an easy way to add texture to your look without being over powered with print.Image-8  So don’t be afraid of prints…embrace them and keep them current by using the season’s Pantones as a guide. There is no end to the mix and match possibilities!"Senior Style GuideI am LOVING these prints! And all of your tips:) Thanks so much for sharing with us, Jackie! Beautiful imagery!Stay Stylish!Megan
