What to Wear Wednesday...with Amanda Dyer
It's WTWW! And a brand new month, which means a new theme! October's theme will be Must-Have Fall Accessories!! To kick things off, we have Amanda of Amanda Dyer Photography joining us to share all about vests!"The seasons are changing and its getting cooler outside. In Alabama this means fall colors and football! Its time to pack away the shorts and bikinis and have fun with layering!One of the biggest trends right now is layering with vests. The more texture the better. If its furry, warm and cute wear it. But wearing a vest isn't that simple. The key to wearing vests is layering and bringing out different textures to complete an outfit. With one simple vest you can complete a very boring outfit.If its not very cold where you are right now that's ok... one of the biggest trends right now are lightweight Kimono Cardigans. The picture below of Maddie shows how you can take summer into fall with a very simple lightweight cardigan. These are colorful and fun. Here she paired the first look with some simple skinny jeans and wedges. The accessories really tie it all together. This is comfortable and easy and something you can wear all day and night. The pop of gold accessories bring out the colors and dress it up a bit.
Here is another look with the same concept. These Kimonos are so reasonable in price. You can pick one up at any local boutique close to you, free people or forever 21. They really can take your outfit to the next level. Don't be afraid to layer and accessorize to bring out the fall colors. She paired hers with a felt hat, simple undershirt, and textured tights. AND, don't be afraid to go bold with fall lip colors!!
And who doesn't like faux fur? Fur vests not only keep you warm, but they are SO furry and soft! If you do not own a faux fur vest now if the time to put one on your wish list:) First off, they never go out of style and its the ultimate layering piece for fall. Perhaps the most amazing thing about wearing fur is you can dress it up or down...and fur goes with anything! If you're going out to dinner, don't be afraid to pair a animal print fur with some awesome leather pants. During the day, wear some cute boyfriend jeans a simple shirt with your fur:)
These next vests are quite popular with my senior girls. The textures are amazing! They have different blends of material and can be matched up with the cutest boots or accessories. And I don't have to mention that they photograph amazingly:) I have seen the most adorable vests just like these at Anthropologie and Free People.
