Iowa Senior Session

Today's featured senior session comes to you from Christina Kjar Photography, located in Holstein, Iowa.

"This year for my 2016 Senior Model Team, I offered a vintage shoot for my level 2 participants! I had 11 girls & I brought in a stylist - Nikole Lorensen. She is the owner of Vintage Salvation: an online vintage clothing store that has been gaining success & has been featured on Martha Stewart. She brought 2 looks for each model. We styled them & had a great time!"

Inspiration: " I am always looking at fashion magazines & the ads that I always end up thinking are the most striking are the simple shots - no backdrop or distractions - just the subject & their beauty. That is what I tried to recreate with this shoot & give it a vintage flare!"

Gear: " I wanted to keep everything simple w/ a cohesive look, so I photographed the models without a background & just used my blank wall & hardwood floors in the studio. I used with window light or my alien bees set up with a Larson reflector. I also used a fan for a few fun images!"
