Eye on Fashion: A Teen's Perspective // Rainy Days
Fun fact about Northern California-- we’ve been in a bit of a drought recently. The glorious winter months which are normally full of green hills and puddles of rain have been all but entirely dried up. Thankfully, we’ve been blessed with a bit of rain this weekend, which of course led me to spend some time thinking on rainy day attire. The general opinion of rainy-day accessories is that they’re something we wear to keep off the rain. Generally your rain-boots come in basic black, as well as umbrellas. I beg to differ. I can’t wait for rainy days because it finally gives me an excuse to borrow my mom’s highly-coveted pair of Coach rainboots.Lately theres been a bit of a slowly-growing movement in fashion to stylize rain-attire. From those fancy clear umbrellas, to rainboots with the classic Burberry print on them, rain is no excuse to sacrifice fashion. Not to mention having a rocking pair of bright yellow rainboots or a stylish umbrella will forever make you stand out from the hordes of boring black umbrellas and boots. Rain accessories are an area of fashion that few people ever think about, but which makes a world of a difference if you actually take the time to find ones which match and complement your fashion sense. Plus, it’ll give you another reason to look forward to rainy days! Eye
