Eye on Fashion: A Teen's Perspective // Leather

As one of the most versatile of textures, adding a bit of leather to your wardrobe is ALWAYS a good idea. Though it’s never truly been out of style, leather has certainly become a prominent fashion trend recently.Though many of us have a black leather jacket in our closets, there are really many other leather pieces of clothing in style now~ don’t play it safe! Leather shows off your edginess and confidence in a stylish way. The a-line leather skater skirt is VERY popular nowadays. The wonderful thing about it is that you can virtually wear it with anything you please~ t-shirts, sweaters, blouses, etc! You can dress it up and wear it to work just as easily as you can dress it down for a weekend outing. Along the same theme, leather pants are just as versatile. Wear them with colored heels and a black and white graphic tee for a effortlessly chic city look. The other option, of course, is opting for an all-leather dress. These come in a multitude of colors and styles and draw attention like nothing else! Try and experiment with skirt lengths and geometric cut-outs in the fabric. Of course, if you’d prefer the traditional leather jacket- I’d encourage you to wear one in a different color than black- green, blue, red, etc!(granted, the one in the picture is a not-very-exciting brown, but you get the idea:)).
