An Illinois Senior Session

Today's featured senior session comes to you from Lindsay Chan Photography of Aurora, Illinois. Here is what Lindsay had to say about her session!

Please describe the session: "Ellie is a super fun, spunky, and creative teen that exudes confidence and charm in everything she does. She is homeschooled, but involved in local homeschooling groups & communities- we wanted to create the same Senior Photo Session experience she would have otherwise, celebrating her beauty (inside and out) and all of her accomplishments. Although she is used to wearing stage makeup for local theater productions... in day to day life, Ellie describes herself as more of a low-key no makeup kind of girl. It was fun to glam things up for her and go have some fun playing around at sunset!"

Tell us about the gear used:

Nikon D750 & Nikkor 70-200mm (2.8)

5in1 reflector/shade

What inspired this session: "This was a collaborative/styled shoot in partnership with both Jess & Jen (hair and makeup artists)- we enjoy working together and as creative. We were inspired by the freedom of summer and beauty of a gorgeous sunset. Tt's fun to do something that is different and exciting than the status quo. I had a vision for the location and clothing and brought it to Jess who started with Ellie's hair and we instantly started talking about "boho-chic" vibes and dubbed her hair look "boho braids." Jen pulled the whole look together with Ellie's makeup based off of her skin tone and our desire for something clean but still a bit bold and dramatic."

Hair and Makeup Artist:

Makeup: Jennifer Knowlton (Makeup by Jennifer K)

Hair: Jessica Rangel (Artistry Hair by Jess)
