A Nevada Senior Session

Today's featured senior session comes to you from Johnstone Studios, located in Reno, Nevada!

Please describe the session for us:"One thing that Valentina wanted most for her photos were wildflowers, so Johnstone Studios found a location were flowers would be guaranteed. Much to our surprise, when we arrived at the location, a landscaping service had cut down all the flowers! Luckily at this time of year all that had to be done was to keep driving down the road, and thankfully this lovely spot with wildflowers and a stream was not far away. Valentina is sometimes shy at first, but as she opens up it is clear that she is a genuinely joyful person who loves to have fun! There were many personal touches added to this session, including a few photos that were taken with the family dog, Bella, who was high energy and added a lot of fun to the session! A few years ago, Johnstone Studios also photographed Valentina's older sister for her senior session, so one of Valentina's requests was that her session was unique and different from her sisters. However, showing love for her sister, Valentina chose to wear the same hat that her sister wore for her photo session! This added a lovely personal aspect to the session."

Tell us about the gear used:Camera: Canon 5D Mark IIILenses: Canon 70-200mm and Canon 24-70mm

What inspired this session?"The inspiration for Valentina's session was her love for nature and art. She loves the vibrant colors that occur at the time of sunset, so this was the time chosen for the session. From there, we chose a location with wildflowers so that Valentina would be happy and in her natural element outdoors! Valentina wished to be unique and show her fun-loving personality for her senior session, so the colorful spring landscape was the perfect choice."
