Today’s featured senior session is from Amanda Butler of Amanda Howse Seniors located in Tacoma, WA. Here is what Amanda had to say about her session!
Please describe the session: “I was looking for a cover for my 2021 Senior Welcome Magazine and decided to use one of my 2020 senior gruduates to come and model in the studio. I told her we were going for a cottagecore look, a retro vibe, something modern, and a ballet/dress look with a new pink robe I had just bought. Plus we wanted to use my new 4x4 white box for "In-the-box" photos- it turned out fab!”
Tell us about the gear used: “I shoot all Nikon, the D4, D700 and Z6 II
I use my 50mm and 85mm Z lenses along with my trusty workhorse 85mm and 24-70mm glass
For the in the box photos I used an Alien Bee light modified with a 6' white shoot thru Westscott umbrella

What inspired this session? The model has been a dancer her entire life, and she is great at posing, so we decided to play in the studio on a cold winter day and have fun!
Hair and Makeup Artist: The model did her own h+mu and styling.
