What to Wear Wednesday...with Susie Moore
It's WTWW, and we're wrapping up June's boho theme with this post from Susie Moore Photography!"The Boho Chic or Coachella look is so popular right now, and it’s easy to see why. It’s so fun and free-spirited, and an easy look to put together. As photographers, Bohemian style is great because we can shoot in almost any setting and make it work.A perfect place to shop when you’re after Bohemian fashion is Altar’d State. It is full of pieces that work easily together, and they have so many accessory choices, it can make your head spin. Altar’d State was kind enough to loan me all of the apparel and accessories for the images in today’s WTWW. It was a blast working with their stylist to craft these looks.Hippie-esque, round sunglasses are an adorable touch to any outfit. They add a touch of whimsy, and are great to photograph! Add a felt hat, and you’re great to go! I love anything crocheted, and this little baby-doll vest paired with bell-bottom pants is the perfect combination! I love how the bells add movement to the image, and they look good on nearly every body type. Macramé wedges are the perfect detail paired with bell-bottoms! I can’t get enough of the cute lacy shorts you see everywhere! Add tassels at the hem, and it gives them a boho touch. A baby-doll, flowered top is a great layering piece adds a bit of flowiness to the look. Also, flowered head pieces and headbands are more popular than ever, and are adorable on everyone! Add a pair of chunky leather heels with cutouts, and you’re rocking a great look! Rings, rings, rings! Can you ever have too many of them?? I don’t think so! Maxi dresses and maxi skirts are a wonderful way to dress up a look, and yet keep it casually classy at the same time. Gotta love those flowered, paisley and tie-dye prints! Consider layering long, crocheted vests to add interest and texture. A straw floppy brimmed hat finishes off the look perfectly! Don’t forget to consider adding multiple bracelets. There is no such thing as too many! The great thing about long, crocheted vests is that you can pair them with almost anything---maxi dresses, shorts or pants. An arm cuff can be an unexpected and earthy accessory that screams bohemian hippie. I love them!Flowered or beaded headbands look great with many hairstyles, too—whether it is soft, beachy curls or a messy fishtail braid. One of the most important things to remember when it comes to fashion is to always personalize it so your senior’s personality comes through. Adjust boho fashion to your senior’s own liking and flair, and you’ll end up with images you’ll love and so will she!" Thank you so much for this post, Susie! I love all the accessories, and that crochet sleeve looks amazing in the closeup! Gorgeous images, as always:)Stay Stylish!Megan
