What to Wear Wednesday...with Sarah Elle

It's WTWW and this week we have Sarah Elle Photography joining us!

"One super popular trend right now is the addition of a gorgeous gown to the wardrobe lineup for senior sessions – and I couldn’t be MORE happy about it! Just last season I had three girls bring amazing gowns to their shoots and the increase in their comfort level, confidence, and posing once they put on their dress was amazing!

As a girl there is nothing more fun than putting on an amazing dress and having your hair and makeup done - and even MORE fun is getting to have your picture taken in that dress! For every dance I ever attended in High School I promise you, my favorite part was getting ready and getting to wear a gorgeous dress. So, being able to incorporate that into your senior session is the ultimate addition to a session wardrobe!

Depending on the area you live in and the popular styles at the local schools, short dresses may be very “in” right now. Short dresses are flirty, fun, and super awesome for twirling and they can come in a variety of styles. Puffy short dresses with a lot of jewels seem to be very popular right now so don’t be surprised if you see a number of those around.

Long dresses will always be “in style” and can offer amazing silhouettes to any session; and, with the added length you have some extra fabric to play around with for some fun shots.

Gowns and formal dresses will always be one of my favorite outfits for senior girls – they not only add variety to your gallery for your client but leave every girl feeling like they just stepped on to the red carpet- and you couldn’t ask for a better feeling during your senior session! "
