Today's What To Wear Wednesday is brought to you by VioletRay Photography.Who hasn’t drooled over the amazing wardrobes of the leading ladies from the hit TV series, Gossip Girl? Almost every girl I know, including myself, has I am certain. Therefore, it was no surprise when Gossip Girl was the answer when I asked a group of high school girls what show they loved most for the fashion and style.Wanting to recreate the rich look of Serena van der Woodsen, I took a group of high school girls on a shopping spree to one of our local boutiques who frequents the NYC and LA fashion shows every season making certain to bring in only the most trendy and current fashions. My heart seriously fluttered over the following outfits that were chosen!The first outfit chosen was simple yet elegant. This light blouse, worn over a camisole tank, was a great way to dress up skinny jeans or wear with a skirt. Easily paired with ballet flats or boots, the light peach coloured top is certain to wow with the flowy fabric and intricate lace pieced into the billowing long sleeves. Perfect for a warmer fall day.The next selection was a sheer blouse with a lace overlay. Again, being able to dress up a stylish pair of pants and a pair of tall boots, the sheer & lace blouse top is classy enough to wear out, or comfortable enough to wear to a casual day at school. The longer ¾ length sleeves also allow it to be another great fall favourite.And the girls’ most favourite find of the day, was the evening gown! A stunning sleeveless dress with a full tea-skirt, coupled with black velvet wedges, this charming outfit would be enough to get anyone’s attention! Fresh and playful, it displays vibrancy and youth along with a sophistication any young lady would want on an important evening.And last but certainly not least, no outfit is complete without some kind of jewelry, and that is one of my personal favourite parts about getting ready for a session. The accessorizing of the wardrobe!I have found that jewelry is key to getting that jaw dropping “WOW” factor you want in a session. It is the balance factor that pulls it all together to give you that fine polished look. You can have a great looking shirt, but it often times it will fall flat unless accessorized properly. But be leery of over doing it. You don’t want the accessories to over power the rest of your wardrobe. Make sure that it flows together working in harmony to create a fine finished ensemble.xoxo,Vickie
