SSG Destinations With Brooke Daniels

wmeIMG_4023The Big Apple During The Holidays...Are you ready to pack your suitcase and travel with the original Destination Shootout Team?If you have found yourself on the sidelines drooling over our destination events, now is the time to grab your seat!  Remember our last destination event in Isle Of Palms?  It was the highlight of my June to be surrounded by such amazing attendees who have later become friends.  I loved that half of the attendees were NYC alumni!  So it was like a family reunion.  We brought videographers Erin Irwin and Doyle Maurer along to video behind the scenes fun and the two of them captured the feel of this destination perfectly in this video:Brooke was on fire once again with her styling.  The nautical look was incredible on the Schooner Pride.  And lets just take a moment to talk about that boat! Did I mention the luxury 84 foot sailboat we chartered for the attendees? It was definitely a big hit for all of us.sqwmnauticalcollageThe pirate gypsy look on the other end of the boat was a great way to showcase some of the latest trends.  I love how we split the boat up putting the nautical models at one end and the gypsy pirate look at the other end!sqeIMG_9087Pretty incredible huh?  Don't just take our word for it...here is what our attendees had to say about this last destination!"In a word "Perfection!" Vickie and Brooke pour their heart and soul in to their destination shoots and it shows! No detail is overlooked from the pre-shoot meet and greet, to the unique locales... and can we talk about the styling!? Out of this world! Vickie and Brooke go out of their way to assure all attendees have the time of their lives. So what are you waiting for?!"-Seniors Inc PhotographywmeIMG_8949"Isle of Palms was my second time attending a SSG Destinations event, and like before, Vickie and Brooke did not disappoint! I cannot overstate the effort that these two put into researching original, inventive locales, recruiting awesome talent, and coming up with incredible and varied styling. In a word— fabulous! The attention to detail, the attendee to model ratio, the on-location makeup artists, the endless and varied looks created… all of these add up to a workshop experience that is second to none. I don’t know where the next SSG Destination might be, but I know that it is the NEXT workshop I will be attending!" - Carrie Anne Photographywmalyssadual2

"Attending the Senior Style Guide Destination Shoot at Isle of Palms in South Carolina was a whole new experience for me. I have attended countless conferences and a number of workshops; but I had never attended a completely styled model shootout (by someone other than myself), in a unique setting that forces me out of my comfort zone and was simply created to have fun, learn from each other and shoot for ourselves.  Don't get me wrong, I was so nervous!   Being amongst some of the top names in the senior photography industry can be a little daunting.   However, I felt incredibly welcomed and never once felt as less talented than the others.   Their was so many fun memories made that I can't imagine not making this as a regular item added to my annual schedule. The styling concepts were amazeballs!  I mean, there was not a detail spared....it was incredible to see it all unfold before my eyes.   Although this was a "shootout", there were many times that Vickie and Brooke were on hand to help with a pose that might have needed a bit of help (ha! ha!).   I can't thank Vickie and Brooke enough for making such a fun opportunity available.  I highly recommend this opportunity for anyone that needs to refresh and revive or just simply needs a reason to shoot!  It was well worth it....Until next time, Nikki Guest (Nikki Guest Photography, Katy, Texas). "SSG Destinations never disappoint! I have been to NYC and the Isle of Palms with Vickie and Brooke. The locations themselves are amazing, but the styling and models that Brooke & Vickie bring along are always STELLAR. I am always impressed by the attention to detail, the hair and makeup artistry, and the ideas that Brooke shares. These destinations provide a mini-getaway for me and fuel my creative soul." - Megan Bryant

"I could say a million words filled with kind thoughts and brag for hours about what an awesome combo Brooke Daniels and Vickie Black are.  They give 100% to these events and it was obvious from the start.  I was absolutely blown away by the organization and the perfectly coordinated logistics of the SSG Destination at the Isle of Palms.  From the beginning stages of communication to the final days of wrapping up the adventure they went above and beyond to exceed my expectations.  From the choice of location to the shooting spots and all of the amazing styling each itinerary item went off seamlessly.  I learned a lot about the things that I needed to and I also felt that both of these women paid particular attention to making sure that each person got what they came for.  I also want to include a note on the sponsors, they take good care of you and they often participate in the event as well.  The whole adventure was awesome and I left feeling like I gained a wealth of knowledge, absolutely fantastic portfolio building shots, and a bunch of new friends.  I would say, if you are looking for a Destination learning experience-there is no other like this." -Shana BrumleywmeIMG_9246"SSG Charleston was hands down the best shoot out that I have ever attended.  The 3 locations chosen for this event were perfect and diverse: the charm of Historical Charleston, an 84 foot Schooner yacht, and the Isle of Palms beach front. What also was perfect was the styling of Brooke Daniels.  I loved that I could shoot one model or grab a group of models and their looks blended seamlessly at each location.  The uniqueness of Brooke's ideas, photographing Boho Pirates or a high end nautical theme, was unparalleled to any other event that I have attended.  Also the high model ratio to photographer was incredible and allowed for us to shoot models the entire day without waiting or sharing!
What I learned about styling has truly helped me to step up my game and elevate my business.  If you would like to learn about collaborating with a boutique, styling, or just update your portfolio or maybe you just need some inspiration for this years senior class, Senior Style Guide Destination is the Perfect event." - Michelle Ivy
