Sarah...Up Close Senior Session
beauty as art...Our gorgeous session today comes from Lori at Heart and Light Photography in Dayton, Ohio! The setting is amazing and took place "in Dayton in the Historical Oregon District and at Wegerzn Gardens."Meet Sarah. Lori let us have a little insight into this stunning girl! "Sarah is a digital design major at Fairmont. One of the reasons being she loves movies...both making them and viewing them. So she is frequently down in the Oregon District at the Neon Movies catching the latest indie film. Sarah also notices things on a deeper visual level so she appreciates the Oregon District for its architecture and the eclectic color scheme of many of the shops."Gorgeous, stylish and artistic! A great combination for rockin' senior photos!Sarah's mom was quick to say why they chose Lori "She browsed many sites when selecting a senior portrait photographer but she always came back to the Heart and Light Photography website. She was drawn to how the pictures seemed to capture the personality of the subject but without the stiffness sometimes seen in senior pictures and she LOVED the idea that it would be a completely outdoor session." Sarah we agree completely! Hopefully the days of boring stiff senior photos are gone. There are too many creative photographers to be contained in this arena!I am a big fan of found objects and incorporating them into a session so I was doubly impressed when Lori told me the bike shot came about by seeing a pickup truck full of junk! The owner happily allowed them to use it in the session.Sarah is also quite the fashionista. Lori explained that "all the outfits Sarah wore were clothes from Forever 21. She's a soon to be college girl on a budget so that is her favorite store! The black and white dress was special to her because she wore it to a homecoming dance but did not have a picture taken at the dance while wearing the dress. Using it in her session will allow her to preserve the dress in a way as it's been one of her favorite dresses throughout high school The purple shoes were one of the few pairs of shoes that actually come from Sarah's own closet. They are American Eagle. The black gladiator heels and the brown heels were both courtesy of Sarah's Mom's Closet (both pairs are from Nine West). Hair and makeup were courtesy of Sarah herself via her flatair and white bucket overflowing with makeup."Lori this session is beautiful through and through! I love your use of color and the up close and personal feel to your images. Keep rockin' the camera and be sure to share with us again soon!XOXO,Vickie
