Today’s featured senior session is from Amelia McCammon of Amelia Rose Photography, located in Houston, TX. Here is what Amelia had to say about her session.
Please describe the session: “The session started bright and early for hair and make up. We went with a soft and natural "I woke up like this" look for her track portion. I loved that she left her hair natural and we were able to get that gorgeous morning light. After that look we tamed her hair and slicked it back for the remaining looks. We added different eyeliner colors and pops of color on her lips and ended the session with a classic senior look on the couch utilizing some amazing window light. She was absolutely a natural in front of the camera and it was an absolute blast making her vision and senior session dream come to life!”
Tell us about the gear used: Canon 1DX Mark II. Outdoor: Profoto B2 with OCF Beauty Dish White
Studio: Bowens 500 R with Beauty Dish (with 2 side lights).
What inspired this session: “My Senior! Nyla came in and we talked about the different looks she wanted to capture. I found it so awesome that she is such an All-Star Athlete but also wanted to capture her glam side. What a range of looks! It was challenging and awesome.”
Hair and Makeup Artist: Nyla did her own hair! It was really wonderful to watch and observe and take some notes are her techniques. (These seniors are so talented these days!). I did her make up. FOUR different looks! Challenging and fun!
