Featured Senior Session | Necessary Photography
Hey there everyone! Today Stephanie Necessary of Necessary Photography is being featured on the blog! Stephanie is located in Pickens, SC. Here is what Stephanie had to say about her session!
Please describe the session: “Liz is a BEAST with a soccer ball! She travelled up to Greenville, SC from Columbia, SC for her session. We knew we wanted to explore some of the nooks and crannies that downtown historic Greenville has to offer and then spend some time capturing soccer action shots. We spent about an hour walking through various areas of the city and shot in some new areas I'd never used before. I absolutely loved the brick street and huge mirrored windows that we used on Brown Street. Liz's number one passion in high school is soccer and, when we shot her session, she'd already committed to Newberry College for women's soccer. After she donned her cleats and uniform we had a ball. She freestyled so that I could grab some shots of her using her head, chest, knees, and feet to maneuver the ball and then we headed over to a local grassy park so that she could really let loose. Liz's control of the ball is amazing. It was quite nerve-racking to lay on the ground and have someone line drive a ball merely inches over my head. I was blown away - she nailed that shot on the first try. I could feel the air rush against me the ball was so close!”
Tell us about the gear used: “Liz's session was shot with my Canon 5D Mark iii. My go-to lens is my Canon 85 1.4, but I used my Canon 35 2.0 for some of the wider action shots with Liz and her soccer ball and my Canon 200 2.8 for some shots where I really wanted that nice creamy bokeh and shallow depth of field.”
What inspired this session: “Liz! She has such a passion and talent for soccer and we just let that passion and her natural beauty shine in her senior session.”
Hair and Makeup Artist: “Hair was by Elevations Salon in Greenville, SC and Liz's makeup was done by Cotton Rouge and Co in Greenville, SC.”
