Featured Senior Session | Max Lee Photo

We are back with a few senior sessions to featured on the blog, and today, we are featuring a senior session from Max Lee Photo, whos is located in Eau Claire. This session is just in time for the spring weather and flowers! Here is what Max had to say about his session.

Please describe the session: “I have been looking for a Lupine field FOREVER since seeing some of the amazing images coming out of Russia from the likes of Kristina Makeeva, and countless others.
Turns out there is a private bee keeper close to me that planted his entire backyard with Lupines! He even accidentally purchased the taller variety that doesn't produce as much nectar but has much bigger bulbs of flowers!!!

I am extremely fortunate to have exclusive access to the property for imaging with my clients that are willing to be around millions of bees!
Then Ridgley booked her senior session with me, and upon seeing her junior year prom dress, I knew that we had to shoot in a floral field. Rest is history!”

Tell us about the gear used: “I actually ran two of my main cameras that day and my backup body that I use for weddings too, as I didn't want to carry a backpack or run back to the car to change lenses from middle of the field... #lazinessftw”
Bodies: a7r3, a73
Lenses: Sony 35mm 1.4, 50mm 1.2, 85mm 1.4
52" white/silver reflector
@Spiderholsters on a @Safelife belt

What inspired this session? “Kristina Makeeva from Moscow! She has some amazing floral field images, and I totally was inspired. I did want to incorporate a horse into the session too, but turned out Lupine is slightly poisonous to horses!
Also Ridgley's epic dress, it just screamed "shoot me in a floral field"

Hair and Makeup Artist: “Ridgley did her own hair & makeup! Her skintone was so flawless, that there was hardly a need!”

Thank you for sharing Max! You can see more work from Max on Facebook and Instagram!
