Eye on Fashion|Complimentary Colors

The art teacher in me is always looking at my senior sessions as a blank canvas. I use all of my art knowledge about composition, layout and the color wheel to plan and execute the shot I am trying to create. Color is one of my favorite parts of choosing a senior's wardrobe for their shoot!Today we are looking at complimentary colors as inspiration for a great set of looks!

RED AND GREENThese two complimentary colors are a little bit tricky to pair without looking too much like a holiday elf. The trick is to add patterns and use jewel tones. Pair a shiny red belt with a classic green dress for just the right pop of color to create contrast. Then add a neutral shoe. From a pretty garden feel to a bright glam look, green and red make a great combo!

ORANGE AND BLUEBright and bold, orange and blue can make any senior look super fun! These two colors are perfect for a session in the city on a crisp Fall day. Add a great pumpkin colored manicure for just the right final touch!

PURPLE AND YELLOWWeather its a sunshiny day or a colorful Fall afternoon, purple and yellow can be the perfect color combo. Purples look great against the changing leaves of the late fall. Yellow adds a sunshiny happiness to any image!Try these two together for a happy fun feel.
