Eye on Fashion | Contrasting Stripes
Senior Style Guide (!), I am SO SO excited to be here!My name is Ashley Westphal of the aptly named Ashley Westphal Seniors, and I am super honored to be one of the new fashion bloggers! Since becoming a senior photographer, I’ve taken an interest in fashion, and I LOVE helping my seniors style their sessions (I even offer a fully styled session where I provide wardrobe!).I am fairly certain that you’re going to see my own style shining through in many of these inspiration boards, so I’ll let the photos do the talking, and we’ll get right down to business.A common thing I hear is that seniors should never wear stripes to their sessions. Well, my friends, I disagree! Contrast-y stripes are super on-trend this season, and they can provide fun and dimension to an image (just make sure you are posing your subjects in a flattering manner).The great thing about stripes is that they translate beautifully to a variety of styles. From beachy/nautical to sophisticated to girly to a little bit of edge, this trend can be intertwined in a variety of ways.Oh, and one of these outfits is under $100 for the ENTIRE look!
