Eye on Fashion: A Teen's Perspective // Summer Shopping

Hello all!Summer’s here! School is out and I’m sure we’re all crazy excited to put our swim suits and sunglasses to good use. Summer also calls for new wardrobe pieces-- but where to start?Today I spent the entire day today thrift shopping in San Francisco on the lookout for the hottest new items for summer. I visited about a dozen stores, and there were a couple key items which stood out as the most popular trends: Items and trends to look out for when summer shopping: Bold prints: This isnt a new trend, but brught, bold prints certainly are still in style. Specifically, a great deal of tops and dresses are sporting neon and geometric patterns-- fun pieces which will add a lot of pop to any ensemble. Lace: a great many items this season are solid colors(usually a pastel, neutral, or neon), which are composed of a layer of cut-out lace overtop. Strappy shirts: Are you familiar with those tank topsthat have multiple criss-crossing straps and it’s always a bit of a nightmare to put on correctly? Those are very much in style as many tank tops in a variety of patterns and materials are sporting thin, criss-crossing straps(often with an open back).
