Today’s featured senior session is from Amanda Buckthorpe of Elegant Illusion Photography, located in Saint Claire, MO. Here is what Amanda had to say about her session.
Please describe the session: “This session is near & dear to me. Every year, I plan a styled session for my only daughter. These are dubbed "White Dress Project" sessions. We choose a different location and style every year, but always wearing a white dress. The idea is that these will be gifted to her on her wedding day. Each year, we try to outdo our last one. This year, I knew we just had to do these while on vacation. She is a dancer and I wanted to showcase her passion for dance and her beautiful personality. I knew the beach vibe would fit this perfectly.”
Tell us about the gear used: “I used my Nikon D750 (love love love this camera) as well as my 24mm Sigma Art lens. This combo is unstoppable.”
What inspired this session: “Long ago, when I was first starting out, a client told me about this idea. I immediately knew it was a tradition I had to adopt. My daughter is my only girl, so it is such a special project and we both look forward to it each year. I love that we are creating such a unique and memorable keepsake for when she is grown.”
