An Iowa Senior Session

Today's featured senior session comes to you from Amy Doerring Photography, located in Newton, Iowa!

Amy shared about her session: "Jason loves his car and he loves fashion. Our goal was to capture both in a city/urban environment. We used downtown office buildings to share his dreams of one day being a businessman."

Gear: "I photograph with a Canon 1DX and mainly use a 70-200 2.8 lens. I use a combination of natural light with reflector and off camera flash."

Inspiration: "Jason walked into our planning session and announced to me that he would be wearing a suit. The look on my face clearly told him that it wouldn't be my first choice. After we talked about it and dreamed what the images could be, we were both excited. Jason is active in DECA and business will be his college focus. The addition of his father's watch to the session speaks of succession, the dream he will one day do work similar to him."

These are so awesome! I love the suit/businessman look! And the car! My fave is the one in sunglasses with car, taken at an angle with the tall building behind him. LOVE! Thanks so much for sharing with us:)

Amy is "a portrait photographer in Iowa focusing on family and senior portraits. I have a small indoor studio but prefer natural light and spend most time outdoors. Instead of being envious of mountain and beach locations, I love to share the beauty of my more rural area while sneaking into the city for some urban looks too."
