An Indiana Senior Session

Today's featured senior session comes to you from Adrienne Nicole Photography, located in Avon, Indiana!Please describe this session:"This session was extra special, as it was for one of my highest investing senior models. Her mom really wanted her to have some extra special experiences for her senior year. This was a styled shoot with a nautical theme. We arranged a day with a local sailboat captain, and set about planning our day. We went shopping at local boutiques and thrift stores to find just the right clothes. We had hair and makeup to coordinate the theme with that pop of red lipstick. It was an awesome day on the lake. I really challenged myself to embrace the direct sunlight, and try to light Lexi accordingly. I had an assistant along with me, who helped with a large silver reflector to fill in the shadows. Lexi did a great job handling the bright sunlight, and the 90 degree heat. We were hot and sweaty by the end, but I think she rocked this session! She now has images like no one else in her class will have. I definitely hope to try to do it again next year with my senior models."What inspired this shoot?"This session was inspired by the desire to do a "destination" shoot with one of my senior models, without having to travel too far. Even though Indiana is pretty landlocked, we still have great lakes and water sports available. I also wanted to find a fun and unique way to incorporate summer style into the shoot."What gear did you use?"I used my Canon 5Dmk ii, 100mmL macro, 24-70mmL zoom, and a few shots with my 50mm 1.4. We were in pretty tight quarters so I needed the wider angles. I used a large silver reflector to both bounce and shade the sun- which is not easy on a windy lake."Hair & MUA:"The hair and make up artist for this shoot was Haeleigh Cundiff. She did an amazing job with beautiful makeup that didn't run with the heat of the day, and hair that stayed curly even in the windy conditions of the lake." I love that you made this happen for her without having to travel very far! She will always remember this experience with you!
