A Utah Senior Session

Today's featured senior session comes to you from Amanda Nelson Photography, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Here is what Amanda had to say about this session:

"This is a styled studio session with Samantha, a 2014 senior and my summer intern turned assistant. The word Grandeur is what comes to mind when I look at these images. She's the definition: gran·deur [gran-jer, -joor]. noun. The quality or state of being impressive or awesome."

Inspiration: "Samantha is heavily involved in dance and theater at her Fine Arts High School. We wanted to do a more dramatic session to compliment her traditional senior portraits taken this summer."

Gear: Nikon D800, 80mm f/1.8, 60" Octagonal softbox on Elinchrom lights

How classy! I love these..I love the texture to her dress...the maturity, yet innocence in her face...and the background! My favorite is the first vertical one--it has a huge Sue Bryce vibe to it! Thanks for your lovely submission!

When asked about herself and her business, Amanda said "I am a senior portrait photographer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I just celebrated my fourth year of business and couldn't be more thrilled to see what's around the next corner. I found myself as a photographer when I narrowed my focus on Senior Portraits."
