A Texas Senior Session
Today's featured senior session comes to you from Michelle Ivy Photography, located in Driftwood, TX!Describe this session for our readers:"This is a model shoot that I did on Galveston Island. I choose 4 models and we went to 4 different locations on the Island. We started on the sea wall at noon. Here the girls roller skated, skateboarded and rode bikes. The next location was what we called the Busy beach. On this beach, there are life guard shacks and places to rent umbrellas which we utilized in the images. The third location was a swimming pool at a beach house. I blew up 28 beach balls and had large floats for the girls to sit on. The last location was a private beach for sunset pictures. Our shoot ended around 8pm. It was a long, 100 degree day, but we had so much fun!"What inspired this session?"This session was inspired by the Beach location and all of the different things that people like to do there: skate, fly kites, ride bikes, surf, lay out, swim, etc... I made a list of all things that you can do at the beach and then basically drew out of a hat which model would do which activity."What gear did you use?"I have Nikon D800 and all the images were taken with my 85 1.4 except a few group shots where I had to use my 24-70 2.8. Since we started at noon on a sunny day at the beach, I used 50" wescott reflector mainly on the silver & gold mix side."Hair & MUA?"Tonya Grabruck of Charmed by Tonya is my go to when it comes to hair and make up. I had a strong vision of what I wanted each girl to look like at the model shoot and Tonya and her team stayed with us the entire day and changed the girls hair and make up with each outfit." What a fun session! I bet y'all enjoyed this SO much:) I'm obsessed with the black and white swim wear!
