A Texas Senior Session

Today's featured senior session comes to you from Ansley Beth Photography, located in Dallas, TX! So appropriate for this time of the year!"I knew I wanted to plan a fun concept shoot for the 4th of July and wanted it to have a retro 50's look.  Maddie (the model) is one of my Class of 2016 model reps.  She has gorgeous big eyes, amazing hair and I knew she'd be perfect to sport the red lips I was envisioning.   She also is so fun and I knew she would be up for something fun and different.  She killed it!!!  I purchased the bandana and collaborated with Sam (the mua) on her hair and make up.  I love it. She made Maddie looks like she came straight from the 50s.  For her outfit we just picked out something fun that was classic and American.  A cute faded out plaid blue shirt with white cut off shorts and converse.  It was perfect.  I purchased and incorporated some fun props like the old cocoa bottle, pinwheel, and fun big sun glasses (think vogue)

We shot the session in a fun historic area up the road from me and then ended at the golden hour in the sunflower field.

I really had so much fun shooting this and planning with Sam and Maddie.  We just basically played and had fun!!  I think it's important to plan sessions like this as it helps you grow creatively :)"
