A New York Senior Session

Today's featured senior session come to you from Susan Gietka of Susan Grace Photography, located in Hammonton, New Jersey!Here is what Susan had to say about her session!

Tell us about the session:"This session with Erin Nipps in NYC was so much fun! I was so excited to get to go to NYC with her and her mom to photograph her for her senior portraits. The weekend we chose to go was a dreary and rainy weekend. This was our only weekend that Erin could make the trip due to her dance recital rehearsals so we decided to make the best of the weather. We arrived on Friday night and got dressed to go to the Top of the Rock. Top of the Rock was crowded so we hung around Times Square and took a few shots. On the way back to the subway we discovered this adorable stairwell to a sushi restaurant that was covered in grafitti. The restaurant was closed, and the shots we got there are among my favorites. We planned on going to the Brooklyn Bridge to take dance images at 6:00 am, hoping for sunrise (and a bridge with no people), but when we woke up at six, it was pouring rain. Around 10:00 am the rain cleared so off we went. Luckily the rain held out for a bit and we managed to get in a good set. The rest of the day was spent ducking in and out of the rain, and shooting while we could. Acting like true New Yorkers and rolling with whatever we encountered."

Gear used during the session: Nikon D750, 24-70mm, 70-200mm, 50mm, 35mm, the Flashpoint AD200 off camera, and Youngnuo (ice light).

What inspired this session?"Erin is a dancer from NJ who spends a lot of time in NYC taking dance classes."
