A Minnesota Senior Session

Today's fab featured senior session comes to you from Kelly Klatt Photography, located in Buffalo, MN!"Here in Minnesota, the winters are long. As a senior photographer, my busy 'shooting window' is from June-November...the rest of the time I tend to hibernate. A few months ago my friend Angie (Linabell Photography) and I met for lunch and decided we needed to escape! We organized a 'shoot-out' in Galveston, TX and we charged other photographers to attend (thus helping with travel costs). We flew down with my makeup artist, a hair stylist and 2 of our high school senior clients. We had a full day of shooting at the beach and at Pleasure Pier with 4 models and 7 photographers. It was a blast, and we hope to do something like it again next year! Angie and I were desperate to shoot at the pool, but since the condo has rules about the # of guests allowed, we decided to do this portion on our own!"Gear: Nikon D81050mm 1.4 Sigma Art85 1.4 Nikon24-70 2.8 NikonReflectorInspiration: "The location...When I was searching VRBO for a beach-side condo or house...I saw the pictures of the pools (both indoors and outdoors), and I looked no further! We wanted to do a 'poolside' shoot without it feeling slutty or inappropriate for high school girls...the vintage 60's style swimsuits made it feel fun and playful instead of 'sports illustrated swimsuit issue'!"Makeup was done by Emile Anne Makeup ArtistryHair was done by Christine Thickpenny These are SO fabulous!!
