A Michigan Senior Session

Today's featured senior session comes to you from Amy Solomon Photography, located in Brownstown, Michigan!

Amy shared about this session: "This was a stylized/editorial session with my 2015 senior models. My stylist, Selina and I collaborated to come up with this vision. We wanted it to have an eclectic and edgy feel, a twist on the typical hipster look. I found this incredible old school in a nearby city and knew it was the perfect setting to bring our vision to life. I love the idea of beauty standing out amongst the rubble and debris. While shooting we focused on trying to keep the girls looking serene but not over the top, pouty look."

Inspiration: "This session was inspired by the stylings of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen along with Lucy Hale and Selena Gomez. We love the way they combine old pieces in a new way. We focused on lots of layers, neutrals and a very few pops of color."

Gear: "I shot this session with my Nikon D800 and with AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.4G. I used a reflector and an ice light for a few of the shots."

This session definitely resonates the edgy, modern vibe. I love how all of their outfits work so well together! I love the shot of the model in the black and white stripe skirt, leaning against the door! Thanks so much for sharing this session with us!

Amy shared a little about herself: "This is my third year in business, and from the beginning I have focused most of my business on senior girls. I love their willingness to allow me to be as creative as I want and try new things. It is my passion to capture who they are on camera and help them see themselves as beautiful and unique individuals."
