A Colorado Senior Session
Today's featured senior session comes to you from Dianna's Design Photography, located in Sterling, CO!
"This was a second senior session for Kenzie. Her first session was a summer shoot at a botanic garden. She wanted an additional session with strong fall appeal and warm rich colors."
Inspiration: "A simple drive by of a field nearby my home inspired this shoot. There were sporadic cotton plants in the field that had burst just days before. She planned the perfect color palette for her wardrobe. We wanted the focus of the photos to be on her more so than the areas around her, but knew we wanted to play up the rich fall colors."
Gear: "I shot this session with my Canon 70D (my back up camera while my 7D was out on repairs). I used my 25-70mm 1.2 L USM lens and light reflector."
Definitely an awesome field location! She is such a beautiful senior...and I love the variety of poses! Thanks so much for sharing this session with us!
"I guess you could say photography is in my blood. I remember my dad taking pictures back in the day when FILM was the only option. My favorite photo he took was a self-portrait of himself in about 1976 playing chess against … himself. A creative idea with a tri-pod, a single click and only a half turn on the film advance dial and then another single click- then anxiously waiting a week for the picture to be developed to see if it turned out. Things are certainly different today, and so am I. Photography has become my obsession. It has been what I do in my “off hours” to express myself creatively and to freeze memories for us to reflect upon for years to come. I am a high school principal and started my side business , Dianna's Design Photography, 3 years ago. As a life-long learner, I felt I wanted to find and develop my creative side. As a result, photography has become a passion for me."
