FASHION ALERT | Pastel is the 2024 Spring and Summer Trend
Hello all!
It’s your gal Lacey of Lacey M. Carroll Photography here, and NYFW 2024 ended and I saw a lot of Pastels this season! As photographers who cater to Gen Z clients looking at events like New York Fashion Week can give us a heads up on upcoming trends! So I called out to the community so we could see some gorgeous pastels in action! Here are some ways to work with some GORGEOUS Pastels!
CLASSIC RETRO
Working with classic and throwback silhouettes will ALWAYS be in fashion and in Pastel trends are no exception!

2. Girlcore!
A big trend right now is Girlcore! From romantic tulle to bows in the hair! Lace, ruffles, dainty florals!

3. Sheer Layering
This trend includes sheer moments within your outfit, whether it’s a skirt over a body suit, a sheer top under a vest or part of a peek-a-boo in a dress!

4. MONOCHROME PASTELS
Monochrome looks are so fun! You can also match your outfit to the location vibes to create a color story!

5. METALLIC PASTELS!
Metallics pack quite a visual for our eyes so adding Pastels into it really kick it up a notch! Whether you’re lovely in Lavender or Pretting in Pink it will WOW in front of the camera!

6. FLORALS
Florals are in, but not just any florals! Dainty florals that are reminiscent of brocade styles!

7. MULTI-COLOR PASTELS
Just because monochrome is ALSO trending it doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with the rainbow of pretty pastels! Just commit to it! And this trend ISN’T just for girls!

8. the coquette aesthetic
Last, but certainly not least the “Coquette Aesthetic” is the CLOSE cousin of Girl-core! Just elevated. Think Heathers meets Marie Antoinette with a dash of Y2k!
