Please describe the session: “I can hardly begin to describe how life-changing this session has been for me! I have been wanting to make the switch from digital back to film and when I got back almost 2 entire rolls of film with amazing images I realized I was ready! I shot some digital but mostly film and also did a little video during this session. Patrick has the coolest sense of style and I chose Lindale Mill in Rome, GA as our location because it has absolutely amazing colors, textures and light. Someone as unique as Patrick, who is an extremely talented singer and actor (he has commercial and movie credits!), needed an equally unique backdrop. I'm so glad we took these when we did because the mill was undergoing renovation and most of these colors are now painted in new neutral colors. I'm already looking forward to shooting there again soon just to see how different the images will be!”
Tell us about the gear used: “I use a Nikon F100 and my 35mm and 85mm lenses. For this session I used Fujifilm Pro400H film rated at 200. I had Richard Photo Lab do the developing and scanning and asked them to scan for the shadow detail and to push the film 1 stop. I used a Sekonic Flashmate L-308S-U meter for a few shots but mostly metered in camera.”
What inspired this session? “Patrick's edgy style and artistic personality was all the inspiration for this shoot. Around every corner at this location we found incredible backgrounds and settings!”
