Featured Senior Session | Andreas Markakis Photography
Today, we are featuring a senior session from Andreas Markakis Photography of Chania / Crete, Greece! Here is what Andreas had to say about his session!
Please describe the session: “Eirini is a senior student living in Ohio with her family. Having a Greek background brought them for a trip to Crete during the Summer. As it is a tradition in the States for senior students to have a photoshoot to capture the moment in their lives. Thus they came in touch with me.
Instead of having a senior photo session in the States they wanted to do so while visiting Crete I the Summer with the entire family.”
Tell us about the gear used: “I almost always shoot with two cameras mounted with a 35mm f1.4 on one camera and a 58mm f1.4 on the other. My portrait camera with the 58mm is a Nikon D810 and the wider 35mm is a Nikon D750. Shooing in Greece in the Summer I find the native 64 ISO of the 810 very handy when my fstop is at 1.4. I even add a little bit of side or back light with a Godox 200.”
What inspired the session? “Eirini had communicated with me and created a mood board using Pinterest that I referenced. Overall it was clear that she wanted a Greek Summerish style that I implemented at the old Venetian harbor of Chania Crete then we drove to near by beach for the sunset shots.”
Hair/Makeup Stylist: “Hair and makeup was done with the help of Eirini's mother, Brenda.”
